The most difficult thing is knowing how to grow. Feebee has implemented a skill based feedback approach to help with this. It all links into creating an improvement culture where everyone can grow and reach their potential.
Previously people were asked to give feedback and there would just be an empty text box in front of them. They'd sit there scratching their head thinking "hmmm... what do I write about?". This would result in poor quality feedback that doesn't help the person to grow and is usually biased as they just write the last thing they remember.
It's psychologically proven that if you point someone in the right direction (with a suggested skill for example) then they're gonna be able to give better quality feedback and they're going to be able to give the feedback quicker and easier.
We have designed a list of skills that are important for every single person in any company. You can give and receive feedback in the same way you have always been used to. But the difference with us is that you select some skills that you want feedback on. Or if you give unsolicited feedback you give it based around skills that you have observed.
Well, imagine the possibilities. You're always frustrated about your lack of growth and you don't know what skills to grow. Now you have the options at hand and you can even see your progress.
<aside> 💡 Just sit down and think about the skills that you want to grow in, the ones that are most important to you and ask for some feedback on them. Set up a continuous cycle so that you regularly ask for feedback on them and 🪄 over some time you can actually see if you're progressing with this skill. When you've made the progress you want to make you can move on to some other skills.
